Women Harvest is a visual project that highlights the significant yet often overlooked role of women in agriculture, sustainable development, and the green economy. The project centers around female farmers, whose daily work contributes to food security, local economies, and environmental sustainability. Through this project, the aim is to shed light on how women’s contributions are frequently underappreciated in national development discussions, especially in sectors like agriculture whose regarded as area for men.
Creative Role & Objective
As the photographer, I aimed to use this image to start a conversation about women’s roles in agriculture and their overlooked contributions to development. The goal is to inspire action towards recognizing and supporting women as key players in nation-building and sustainability.
- To shed light on the critical role women play in agriculture and sustainable development.
- To highlight the need for gender inclusion in policies and programs related to agriculture, national growth, and environmental stewardship.
- To inspire appreciation for women farmers and encourage investment in their work.
